  • Algynomics will sponsor the Satellite Symposium "SS 04: Current Concepts, Methods and Progress in Pain Genetics Research," supported by the SIG Genetics and Pain at the 14th World Congress on Pain, International Association for the Study of Pain.   • Algynomics has established an in-licensing agreement for data from the ongoing, longitudinal, multisite study entitled "Orofacial Pain: Prospective Evaluation and Risk Assessment (OPPERA)." OPPERA is a study of muscle, joint, and jaw function that is sponsored by NIH/NIDCR; participating institutions include the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of Florida at Gainesville, the University of Maryland at Baltimore, and the State University of New York at Buffalo. Battelle Memorial Institute serves as the Data Coordinating Center.

  • Algynomics and affiliates, Pfizer and Eli Lilly, will present at the 13th World Congress on Pain, International Association for the Study of Pain.  The meeting will take place August 29-September 2, 2010 in Montréal, Québec, Canada.  For details of the abstract presentations, click here.

  • Algynomics finalizes an alliance with Eli Lilly & Co to study genetic associations in osteoarthritis and lower back pain with the goal of identifying phenotypic and genetic markers of duloxetine responses.

    Algynomics furthers its alliance with Orthogen Inc. in the area of orthopedic medicine and therapeutics specific to osteoarthritis with the goal of identifying phenotypic and genetic markers of Orthokine responses.

    Algynomics continues to work with Beckman Coulter Genomics, formerly Cogenics, to conduct genotyping studies of biological samples.  Beckman Coulter Genomics is the sole provider of Algynomics’s proprietary Pain Research Panel.

    Algynomics and Pfizer, Inc. finalize an alliance agreement to conduct a genome wide association with the goal of identifying new therapeutic targets for the treatment of painful osteoarthritis.

    Algynomics Inc. enters into a landmark licensing agreement with the University of North Carolina. The agreement provides Algynomics with the exclusive rights to develop and market proprietary genetic pain markers owned and patented (pending) by the University of North Carolina.
